Volunteer

VLPRA relies on volunteers in several of our divisions. We are grateful for all of our volunteers and the time they devote to growing an active community.

YOUTH ATHLETICS

We always need coaches for soccer, basketball, football, cheerleading, baseball, and volleyball.  Teams can’t practice or play if there aren’t enough coaches to staff them.  Please consider volunteering as a coach; the process is simple and free.  Please follow the steps below.

  1. Click here to fill out our volunteer form showing us the area where you would like to volunteer, then...
  2. If we have an available position in your area of interest, a staff member will contact you and send you the link to our background check portal.  You must fill out the background check and submit it.  You will receive an email with the background check results.  After you receive that email, please visit our office at 1901 North Forrest Street to get a photo badge. Coaches cannot receive a roster or be on the field/court until they have cleared the check and have a badge. Your badge is valid for one (1) year.

THERAPEUTICS

Our Therapeutics (TR) Division serves individuals with special needs.  each month, we have a social for the TR Young Adult Club. We would appreciate help setting up, serving food, cleaning, or even just dancing with participants at these socials.  We also host local Special Olympics games twice a year and need assistance with scoring, handing out ribbons, and crowd control.  Please click here and fill out our volunteer form if you want to help.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Helping out with our 5K races, movies, and outdoor events is a great way to get volunteer hours.  Please click here and fill out our volunteer form if you want to help.  Be sure to select the "Special Event" box.
