  • The VLPRA Therapeutic Division is hosting our fifth-annual “Egg-ceptional Egg Hunt” for children with disabilities on Saturday, March 24th. This egg hunt is FREE and is open to children with special needs and their families. The event provides a fun, safe, family-friendly environment that allows children who may have difficulty participating in a traditional egg hunt the opportunity to hunt for Easter eggs. Children will hunt 3,000 toy and candy-filled Easter Eggs in a fully-accessible environment, take pictures with the Easter Bunny, enjoy face painting, create arts and crafts, and much, much more at the VLPRA Craig Center. The center is located at 1104 West Gordon Street Valdosta. The 2.5 acre-lot is enclosed by chain link fence and is wheelchair accessible. Our “Egg-ceptional Egg Hunt” is scheduled for 11:15 am. The Craig Center property will be roped off for two separate hunts at the same time. One area will cater to children ages 2 to 6 years old and the other will be for children ages 7 to 12 years old. VLPRA will provide “Beep Eggs” for our visually-impaired participants and we will have tennis ball hopper baskets for our wheelchair participants. Children who capture Golden Eggs will win Easter Baskets and there will be other prizes awarded randomly. The event celebrates individuals of all abilities in every possible way- even the company who provides the eggs is staffed by individuals with special needs. Please join us for this one-of-a-kind event from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 24th at the VLPRA Craig Center!

  • VLPRA is making a special, limited time offer: we are selling a select number of our Wildcat and Viking helmets from our youth football league. These are replicas of the high school helmets and would be perfect for an office or living room to show your school spirit! This is a rare opportunity, as it is the first time VLPRA has ever let go of any of our prized helmets. We are only selling a few of them and they are first come, first serve. It's only $40 per helmet. You can purchase them at our main office located at 1901 North Forrest Street or you can pay via credit card by calling us at 229-259-3507 and we will reserve your helmet for pick up. All are youth helmets; sizes vary and are first come, first serve. Though they are game worn, they are now meant for decoration purposes only. VLPRA is not responsible for helmet use once the helmet is sold. Limit one per household. No returns. Again, limited supply and first come, first serve!!! Get yours today!
