GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION

VLPRA’s Football & Cheerleading Program is school-based, which means your child will play for the Vikings, Wildcats, Valiants, etc. We divide kids into teams based on the middle school they will attend. If your child goes to S.L. Mason, he or she will be on the VMS team, if he or she attends Hahira Elementary, then it’s the HMS team, and so on. Practices are located in the school districts, so you do not have to drive far. Games are around the city and county- including at the high school stadiums! Registration runs from May-June. Practices start in July. Games are August - November with a regular season and playoffs. Games are usually in the evenings on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and on Saturday mornings and afternoons. We may play games on Sunday afternoons if necessary.

After playoffs, our All-Star Program culminates in the annual Junior Winnersville Classic- a youth version of the nationally recognized high school rivalry.

Boys football is open to Kindergartners through 5th graders (for 2022/2023 school year). Girls Flag is open to Kindergarten through 8th grade.

Fee includes your uniform and ALL equipment for Football and uniform, pom-poms, bow, and bloomers for Cheerleading!!  Scroll down to see full equipment information.

Children in private schools or charter schools may register for their school.  If the private or charter school team does not make, those children must play for their school district.  This means private or charter school children who live outside Lowndes County can only play if their team makes.

QUESTIONS: Call our main office at 229-259-3507.
